After years of rumors, Santa Monica Studio confirmed the news. They are remaking the original God of War Greek Trilogy.

The project is still early in development. However, the team shared a massive surprise. TC Carson is returning. He is the original voice actor who defined Kratos’ rage on the PS2 and PS3.

“We couldn’t let this milestone close without giving fans one last big surprise!” said Grace Orlady, Lead Community Manager. “We aim to make it a big one.”

They have not set a release date yet. But the studio confirmed they are rebuilding Kratos’ journey through ancient Greece from the ground up.

Available Now: God of War Sons of Sparta

In addition, Santa Monica Studio released a brand new game today. It is titled God of War: Sons of Sparta.

Mega Cat Studios developed this title. It is a canon 2D action game. Furthermore, it features beautiful hand-drawn pixel art.

The Story: A Tale of Two Brothers

The story takes place during Kratos’ youth. Specifically, it focuses on the bond between Kratos and his brother, Deimos.

• Narrated by TC Carson: The original Kratos narrates the story as the adult version of the character.
• Canon Lore: The writers of God of War (2018) wrote the script. As a result, it fits perfectly into the timeline.
